Canada’s House of Commons just unanimously passed an extreme conversion therapy bill similar to the one proposed in New Zealand. That’s how left the Canadian political scene has gone. Where have the ‘conservative’ politicians disappeared to?
Renowned neuroscientist Dr. Debra Soh says that the Canadian bill “prevents people from accessing much-needed medical and mental health care.”
She goes on to say “I think this sends a chilling message to parents, educators, and people questioning their gender.”
Other critics have ‘blasted’ the bill for not taking into account legitimate therapeutic practices when it comes to both religious and psychological/psychiatric counselling.
